So i am stuck - Intel does not have usb 3.0 driver for windows 8 & if i try the driver for windows 7, i get an error message. I do not know how to get this line back into device manager & this is required in order to peform the procedure. mark when i first purchased the pc but the line disappeared after i updated I did have this entry in device manager (usb controllers) with a yellow exclam. It states that you can force windows to use the intel usb 3.0 host controllerÄrivers instead of the built in stack (windows 8) but this can only be carried out if the pc has 'intel(r) usb 3.0 extensible host controller' under usb controllers The procedure detailed at http:/bit.ly/WHwgmi does not work for me. No doubt due to the fact that i have windows 8 on my pc. 'this computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software'. If i try to install intel (R) usb 3.0 extensible host controller driver for windows 7, i receive the following message. If you are upgrading windows 7 to windows 8, uninstall the intel usb 3.0 extensible host controller driver before installing the upgrade. ![]() Intel is not releasing a specific intel usb 3.0 extensible host controller driver for windows 8. says - windows 8 has a native in-box usb 3.0 driver.
